Project 3303

Spray-stone really warms up a room.

For a client in Denver, Colorado, Intellicoat transformed a family room and stairwell into a warm and cozy atmosphere. The process started by selecting a color of spray-stone from the available swatches. We suggested a couple of colors, and the client lived with them for a couple days to make sure that both natural light and lamp light in the room worked with their favorite color. Then, Intellicoat masked off all windows, doors, fireplace, hanging and light fixtures. As a final step, we sealed the room off from the dining room to keep all spray in our work area only. The application process consists of 2 coats, one base color (darker) and one lighter top color (lighter), this gives depth and allows the team to create as much or little texture as wanted by the client. The time from masking to completion is 4 days. Day one – mask, Day Two – Base Color, Day Three – Top color, Day Four Clean up. The end result gave a rich texture and soft comfortable feel to the 100 year old Queen Anne Victorian Living room, keeping it cozy and inviting.
